Education: University of Minnesota
Practicing Since: 1983
Dr. Mary Svoboda was born and raised in Sparta, Wisconsin, where she grew up on a small farm immersed in the world of American Quarter Horses. It was during this time that her passion for Veterinary Medicine took root, nurtured by hands-on experiences volunteering and working at local veterinary hospitals during her college years. She graduated from the University Of Minnesota College Of Veterinary Medicine in 1983 and has since been an integral part of the Chicagoland veterinary community as an associate veterinarian and practice owner.

Now, as a member of the team at Oakton Animal Hospital, her commitment lies in delivering the utmost compassionate care for clients and their beloved pets. While proficient in all facets of veterinary practice, she harbors a particular fondness for dentistry and surgery.
Outside of her professional endeavors, she shares her home with her husband and Bailey, lovingly known as Mr. B, a 12-year-old Yorkie Poo. In her leisure, she can be found tending to her garden, engrossed in the pages of a captivating book, navigating tranquil waters in a kayak or canoe, or indulging her culinary prowess in the kitchen. An avid baseball enthusiast, she and her husband are on a quest to visit all 30 current major league baseball parks, adding an exciting dimension to their shared adventures.
